A real end-of-tenancy job

One property, one day, five rooms

Follow a full end-of-tenancy clean from the moment we arrive to the deposit-return handover — bathroom, WC, stairs, kitchen and home office, told step by step.

Chapter 1Morning · first room in

The Bathroom

We always start with the wet rooms — they take the longest and set the tone for the whole clean. This bathroom hadn't been touched in months. Limescale on the taps, dust behind the radiator, marks up the skirting.

  • Toilet descaled inside and out, including the base and pipework
  • Bath, taps and shower fittings polished, limescale removed
  • Skirting and radiator hand-washed
  • Vinyl floor mopped twice with a degreaser
Chapter 2Mid-morning

The Downstairs WC

The downstairs loo is small but landlords always check it. We treat every surface — the door, the handle, the light switch, the tiny bit of skirting behind the door — because inventory clerks always look there.

  • Door, handle and frame wiped down
  • Toilet fully descaled and disinfected
  • Floor stripped and re-mopped until the shine came back
  • Light switch and radiator dusted
Chapter 3Late morning

The Stairs & Hallway

Stairs are one of the most overlooked areas in an end-of-tenancy clean. Edges and risers collect dust, and scuff marks along the wall come off surprisingly easily with the right product — but only if you actually work each step.

  • Every tread and riser vacuumed with a crevice tool
  • Scuff marks on walls and stringers spot-cleaned
  • Handrail and spindles wiped
  • Skirting boards along the whole staircase dusted
Chapter 4Afternoon · the big one

The Kitchen

The kitchen is where deposits are won or lost. We strip the hob, clean inside every cupboard, pull out the washing machine and fridge where we can, and hand-clean the tiles until the grout is even again.

  • Hob and extractor degreased, oven strip-down included
  • Inside and outside of all cupboards wiped
  • Washing machine drawer descaled, seal cleaned
  • Splashback tiles and grout hand-scrubbed
  • Floor swept, mopped and finished with a streak-free polish
Chapter 5Late afternoon · the finishing touches

The Home Office

By late afternoon the property is almost there. The office gets a full carpet vacuum, desks are polished, and we do a final walk-through to catch anything the light catches now that everything else is clean.

  • Carpet vacuumed including edges and under the desk
  • Desk, chair and shelving polished
  • Bin emptied and liner replaced
  • Final walk-through of every room with the client
